Job Description Summary
Provide administrative support to the Natural Science Division Website. The Website Assistant will assist faculty/staff with creating and editing pages on the NSD website. Assist with Division website content and special projects as assigned.
*Webpages use restricted WordPress software
Specific Duties
- Working with faculty/staff on website pages
- Creating and editing NSD website pages
- Creates flyers and other promotional items using Canva
- Edits event photos using Adobe Photoshop and uploads to various platforms
- Provides technical support for STEM HUB equipment
- Database creation and data entry
- Attends NSD events and assists with prep/strike
- Computer science major with a concentration in internet programming
- General office equipment experience
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, WordPress, Canva, and Adobe Photoshop
- Professional, organized, detail-oriented
- Work independently
- Ability to perform in a time-sensitive environment
- Knowledge of MAC and PCs
- Customer Service Experience.
- Computer Science major required
Benefits Summary
Employees are eligible for the following benefits:
One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan - can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.
In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
