Our client, a nationwide manufacturer and distributor of chemical products, has an immediate need for an experienced Manual Machinist, to join their winning team in Palm City. Our candidate of choice will bring at least 5 years' experience in making and maintaining in-house tooling; injection molds and stamping dies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, or dial indicators. Interpret blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations Inspect finished injections molds, stamping dies, fixtures and support equipment for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, contour conformity and defects. Able to operate all standard mold/machine shop equipment such as; manual lathe, mill, surface grinder, drill press, drill/cutter sharpener. Able to handle task under time constraint to meet deadline Ability to inspect and assess mold core, cavities and mold plates Ability to troubleshoot defects of injection molds and determine associated root cause Perform injection mold preventative maintenance KEY REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to communicate, orally and writing in English. Basic Math skills, add subtract multiply and divide in all units, using whole number, decimals and fractions. Must be able to read prints, operate manual machine shop type of equipment: lathe, milling machine, grinders; as well as injection molding and metal stamping machines as well as any related support equipment, gauges, etc. Must be willing to occasionally work some overtime depending on business needs.
