Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join a global team of software engineers developing high-quality applications for the financial trading industry.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development, database performance tuning, and ETL processes, with a passion for problem-solving and delivering end-to-end solutions in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views.
  • Perform performance tuning of stored procedures and queries for optimal efficiency.
  • Implement ETL processes to load large volumes of data quickly (e.g., SQL Loader).
  • Collaborate with global teams to gather requirements and deliver robust database solutions.
  • Conduct data analysis and troubleshoot issues to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Work in Agile methodology, participating in sprints and team ceremonies.
  • Support integration with scheduling tools like Control-M and other automation processes.
  • Maintain documentation and adhere to best practices for database development.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
  • Strong RDBMS skills: SQL querying, stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, and privileges.
  • Experience with performance tuning of PL/SQL queries and procedures.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes for large data loads.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and basic commands.
  • Experience working in Agile teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Core Java and Python.
  • Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M.
  • AWS Cloud experience.
  • Database modeling expertise.
  • Financial industry experience (Capital Markets/Securities Finance preferred).
  • Understanding of financial glossaries and terminologies.
