Senior Associate Director, Programs - CHAMPS Program Office

This is a full-time, senior-level program management position dedicated 100% to the CHAMPS (Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance) Program Office.

The role provides strategic and operational support to the Finance and Business Operations (FAB) team, focusing on governance, administration, and internal coordination for the global health program.

Key Functional Responsibilities:

  • Business Operations (30%): Overseeing program logistics, developing and monitoring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring compliance and security oversight for international travel and global partner meetings.
  • Program and Project Management (40%): Managing overall program operations (20%) and providing strategic project oversight (20%) for discrete initiatives (like vaccine effectiveness). This includes managing work plans, maintaining the SmartSheet system, and building consensus among global partners.
  • Human Resources & Data Access (30%): Coordinating Human Resources tasks (15%), including onboarding/offboarding across partner organizations (Emory, Mauve, LSTM). Managing Data Access (15%) by triaging requests, coordinating the execution of Data Use Agreements (DUAs) and Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), and supporting the Data Access Working Group.


Required Qualifications emphasize strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as essential experience working in global health programs, with DUAs and IRBs, and coordinating international travel.
