Description

Client is looking for a Quality Engineer that will work side by side with the current Quality Manager to build out a Quality System. Must be a hands on, mechanically inclined Quality Engineer with 5+ years of experience. This Quality Engineer with be responsible for FAI, NCR, root cause analysis, and supplier approvals.

Stator Quality Support:

Assist in addressing and resolving quality issues specifically related to high temp stator components and new supplier development.

Motor Housing Porosity Quality Support:

Assist in working with Engineering and casting supplier to resolve high scrap rate due to pressure leaks and reimbursement/savings.

Part Marking Quality Support:

Incoming part/pump marking for private labels is followed to PO requirements and assist with supplier NCR’s and root cause corrective actions.

First Article Review (FAI):

Review First Article Inspections (FAIs) from suppliers for completeness, accuracy, and compliance to specifications.

Supplier Approval Process:

Work directly with suppliers to ensure quality documentation is submitted and accurate, and that process capability is demonstrated.

Corrective Action Follow-up:

Assist in tracking, validating, and closing supplier corrective actions (e.g., 8D, 5-Whys).

Documentation Review:

Ensure that quality records, control plans, and Production part approval process meet internal and industry standards.

NCR Follow-up and Completion:

Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely closure, documentation, and resolution.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Comfortable working across departments, particularly with Engineering and Manufacturing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $45.00/hr.
