Overview

Join our team as a General Production Worker - Grinding Operator, where you will spend your day engaged in general fabrication activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn different skills in a manufacturing environment. The typical schedule will be 6AM-2:30PM. Responsibilities

• Perform deburring and polishing to ensure smooth edges and welds on lasered pieces.

• Assemble parts using hand and power tools to put together components.

• Assist the paint line, ensuring pieces are prepped, taped, and holes are filled before painting.

• Conduct visual inspections and use hand tools to knock out cut pieces from sheets of steel.

• Be adaptable and willing to learn new tasks as needed within the plant.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Flexibility to learn new tasks and work effectively as part of a team.

• At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with mechanical assembly and machine operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Metal fabrication experience is a plus.

• Any machine operating experience is beneficial.

Work Environment

The work environment is a standard manufacturing floor, not temperature-controlled. The noise level is average for a metal fabrication plant, and while it can be somewhat dirty, it maintains fairly typical working conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Batavia, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
