STS Technical Services is hiring experienced Senior A&P Helicopter Mechanics in Kansas City, Missouri. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the nation's leading air medical transport organizations-a team dedicated to safety, reliability, and service excellence.
In this role, you'll perform hands-on maintenance and inspections on helicopters supporting life-saving missions across the region. If you take pride in your work, value precision, and want to make a real impact, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily maintenance and inspections to ensure aircraft airworthiness
- Communicate with Lead Mechanics to coordinate scheduling, technical needs, and manpower requirements
- Maintain assigned aircraft and manage base inventory levels for spare parts and tooling
- Certify work performed in accordance with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards
- Utilize company maintenance systems for tracking, compliance, and documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely maintenance completion
- Maintain company-provided tools and ensure proper calibration schedules are met
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High School diploma or equivalent
- FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience as a Certified Mechanic
- Basic communication and computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
- Sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting experience
- Flexibility to travel frequently with short notice
- Ability to work night shifts as required

- Must live within one hour or 60 miles (whichever is greater) of the assigned base
