Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for a long-term Emergency Medicine locum tenens opportunity in Midland, Texas.
This is a fast-paced, team-driven environment within a large, Level III Trauma Center, offering diverse acuity, full physician support, and flexible scheduling across multiple shift blocks. If you thrive under pressure and want consistent, high-volume ER experience, this one's built for you.
Assignment Overview
- Location: Midland, Texas
- Facility Type: Level III Trauma Center
- Contract Type: Locum Tenens | Long-Term (6+ months)
- Start Date: January 31, 2026
- Shifts Available: 9a-7p | 1p-1a | 4p-2a | 8p-6a
- Shift Commitment: 20-25 shifts per month
- Team Model: Physician-led team with APC support
- EMR System: Cerner
- Credentialing: Temporary privileges available for clean files
- Annual Volume: ~81,000 visits
- ED Beds: 42
- Hospital Beds: 51
- Trauma Level: III
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and urgent conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary departments
- Perform standard ER procedures within scope of training
- Document patient encounters efficiently in Cerner EMR
- Contribute to throughput and department flow while maintaining safe, patient-centered care
- Licensure: Active & unrestricted Texas license
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
- Board Certification: Accepted - NCCPA, NCCAA, or NCCNP
- Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of Emergency Medicine experience required
- Privileges: Temporary privileges available based on clean file and urgency
