The Opportunity

The Senior Underwriter works with Underwriting Guidelines and underwriting referral submissions from third party insurance carriers and MGA partners. Evaluates risks according to location, physical and moral hazards, underwriting guidelines and loss experience to accept, decline, or modify submissions. The Senior Underwriter will also work with matrix partners to build processes, manage special projects, and report out on the P&C program.

The Work Itself

  • Work with team to develop, review and update ADI Referral Underwriting Guidelines, as needed.
  • Ensure MGA and other third-party insurance partners are operating within established guidelines
  • Review underwriting referral submissions and provide appropriate guidance, approvals or declination
  • Track and monitor submission activity and program performance and provide regular reporting to leadership

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with 3-5 years' experience in commercial casualty underwriting
  • Experience influencing / leading others, including 3rd party vendor resources
  • Communicate effectively across multi-vendor environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Suites expertise (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to deliver quality solutions and develop operational improvements where applicable
  • Ability to optimally manage conflicting priorities and thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding each program

An individual's position in the range is determined by the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Experienced: 95000

Expert: 120000

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
