Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist I is responsible for managing inventory accuracy and supporting warehouse operations. This role involves receiving, storing, and fulfilling orders for CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) and materials, processing returns, and maintaining inventory levels. The position requires safe operation of warehouse equipment and adherence to company standards for accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and put away CPE shipments and material products into assigned bin/row locations from a Primary Distribution Center (PDC) or manufacturer
- Fulfill CPE and material orders for boundary partners (Field Service Technicians, Installation Contractors, Solution Stores, 3rd Party Stores, etc.)
- Monitor inventory levels and restock as needed
- Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) applications and scanners to perform warehouse functions
- Process CPE returns for shipment back to the PDC, including sorting, boxing, labeling, shrink wrapping, and staging on pallets
- Monitor and restock Quick Pick locations to maintain adequate inventory levels
- Safely operate light warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts) and heavy machinery (forklifts, delivery vehicles)
- Assist in daily cycle counts to audit physical and systemic inventory accuracy
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Less than 2 years of experience in a related field
- Valid driver’s license; ability to safely drive company vehicles (DOT physical required where applicable)
- Basic computing skills (Email, Microsoft Office)
- Ability to learn warehouse inventory management systems (CHAT, Oracle, ICOMS)
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, stretch wrap machine)
- Physical ability to stand, walk, push/pull pallets and carts, and lift 50–70 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible schedules and participate in On-Call rotation
- Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory control
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
- DOT physical certification where applicable
