Join Our Team as a Warehouse Operations Manager

At US Foods, we are committed to creating a safety-first culture within our warehouse environment. As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and productivity of our associates while maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a safety-focused team: Ensure every associate remains injury-free and champion safety procedures.
  • Develop and inspire staff: Provide one-on-one coaching and training, addressing performance gaps proactively.
  • Foster communication: Maintain open lines of communication to drive efficiency and team cohesion.
  • Supervise operations: Oversee the productivity and workflow of warehouse associates, ensuring accurate order staging and loading.
  • Monitor performance metrics: Analyze operational reports to ensure targets are met and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance: Uphold food safety and sanitation standards, including adherence to the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and FSQA requirements.
  • Address inventory shrink: Collaborate with management to identify and address sources of inventory loss.
  • Manage the physical environment: Regularly inspect the warehouse and equipment for safety hazards and ensure necessary repairs and maintenance are carried out.

Work Environment: Normal warehouse environment, including cooler and freezer areas with temperatures as low as -5 degrees.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse distribution.
  • 1+ year of experience supervising a workforce.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, OSHA, HACCP, and inventory control.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently; lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Capable of pushing/pulling, climbing, bending, and reaching above shoulder level.
  • Must possess good manual dexterity for operating warehouse machinery and office equipment.
