Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Overview: We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 8+ years of experience in Mechanical Design-Build engineering. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who provides leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to high-quality project delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- 8-10+ years of mechanical engineering design or design-build experience (HVAC and piping systems focus, plumbing knowledge a plus)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, LEED accreditation a plus
- Proficient in HVAC design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP) and building management systems (BMS)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to mentor junior engineers
- Proven ability to lead projects and teams to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Lead mechanical design and implementation projects, ensuring budget, timeline, and quality goals
- Perform load calculations, airflow analysis, and technical assessments for system sizing and design
- Ensure compliance with local and international codes and standards (ASHRAE, LEED, NFPA)
- Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, equipment selections, submittals, and cost estimates
- Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems
- Collaborate with clients, owners, and internal teams; provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
