Position Summary:
This specialized role focuses on the care of obstetrical trauma patients using a patient-family centered approach, adhering to the policies and protocols of the healthcare organization and professional guidelines. The RN Coordinator will be on-call 24/7 for trauma activations, ensuring prompt responses in line with ACS standards (15 minutes for highest tier and 30 minutes for second tier). You will accompany patients throughout their hospital journey, from the Trauma Resuscitation bay to Radiology, OR, PACU, and ICU. Collaborating closely with the Director of Trauma Services and Trauma Medical Director, you will be pivotal in ensuring quality care for your patients while identifying and addressing performance improvement opportunities in coordination with trauma surgical staff and leadership.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) within 90 days of employment.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
