About the Role:
We are seeking Senior Data Engineers to join an experienced team building robust data infrastructure to support high-impact analytics and business needs. This role leans heavily into core data engineering - from pipeline development to data modelling - and requires hands-on expertise with modern data stack tools and strong collaboration across teams. This is a fast-paced, execution-focused environment with immediate interviewing and on boarding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable data models and schemas
  • Develop and maintain reliable, production-grade data pipelines
  • Work closely with product and analytics teams to support data-driven features
  • Ensure performance, data quality, and operational reliability across the stack
  • Build and support ETL workflows using modern tools and frameworks

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience in data modelling and schema design
  • Strong coding ability with Python for scripting and transformations
  • Experience with ETL tools or frameworks (e.g., SnapLogic, Airflow, DBT, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, collaborative environments
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Snowflake is a strong plus
  • Experience with SnapLogic or similar modern ETL platforms
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and data ops practices

Client Expectation:
Client is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in Data Modeling.

Key Skills & Attributes:
Data Modeling Expertise: Candidate must demonstrate deep knowledge and hands-on experience in designing, optimizing, and implementing robust data models.
Problem-Solving Capability: Candidate should be able to clearly articulate real-world problem scenarios, including:
  • The nature of the problem,
  • The process/approach taken to solve it, and
  • The final resolution and outcome.
Analytical Thinking:
  • Ability to apply structured and innovative approaches to address complex data challenges.
  • L2 (Level 2) Expectations

Depth in Data Modeling:
Candidate should ask and respond to in-depth, data modelling-related questions to demonstrate the extent of their expertise. They must be able to connect theoretical knowledge with practical technical details (e.g., recognizing how optimal solutions may vary between columnar and row-based databases).

Advanced Coding Proficiency:
Python: Candidate must be capable of handling senior-level coding tasks using PySpark. While similar tasks can be performed using Pandas, PySpark is preferred as it is more aligned with large-scale data engineering, whereas Pandas is typically used in Data Science and ML contexts.

SQL: Candidate should demonstrate strong SQL skills, including writing optimized queries with advanced transformations. Assessment tasks should include subqueries and functions that cannot be grouped by-only a small proportion of candidates are typically able to recognize and deliver the correct solution here.
