Job Title: Part-Time or Full-Time Licensed Massage Therapist at Plymouth Creek Athletic Club (Hourly/Massage Type Based on Experience). The Plymouth Creek Athletic Club is located in the Crowne Plaza Minneapolis Hotel – Plymouth, MN. This job is also applicable for Tips.
Job Summary: We are looking to hire an experienced versatile independent licensed massage therapist to perform massage therapies to all walks of life individuals. The therapists’ responsibilities include creating a welcoming, safe, calming, and educational environment for our members & hotel guests when performing massage treatment therapies.
To be successful as a licensed massage therapist, you should demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, empathy, and be able to treat participants to improve their physical and mental health through various massage techniques/treatments. Ultimately, an exceptional massage therapist should be able to communicate effectively with participants and ensure their needs are met.
Licensed Massage Therapist Responsibilities:
- Performing 1-on-1 or couples massage treatments.
- Performing various techniques, and methods to treat the participant.
- Creating a calm and safe environment for their participant.
- Assessing the progress of regular participants and adjusting sessions accordingly.
- Monitoring participants to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Implementing ground rules for each massage session.
- Planning therapies that take into account participants abilities and progressive development.
- Identifying incorrect techniques and correcting participants accordingly.
- Ability to treat and stand for extended periods of time.
Licensed Massage Therapist Requirements:
- General Liability Insurance.
- License as a massage therapist.
- Completed massage therapist application through the city of Plymouth.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience working as a Licensed Massage Therapist
- CPR/First Aid certification bonus but not required.
- Completion of W-9 Form.
- Sound knowledge of proper massage techniques and safety rules.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Passionate and enthusiastic.
- Business oriented.
Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
