The Technology Specialist 3 independently develops and implements configurations, automation tools, and scripts for IT and OT systems. This role is responsible for managing a wide range of system components across multiple interconnected systems, ensuring proper functionality, performance, and security. The Technology Specialist 3 provides technical leadership and supervises others as required. Data Center Experience Required. Role will be expected to plan, perform, and lead on site EPMS/BMS Controls Installation and Startup (Comissioning) activities.

Responsibilities

  • Independently develops, improves, and implements automation tools, configurations, and scripts for IT and OT systems.

  • Leads planning and execution of system implementation, maintenance, and reconfiguration efforts.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex functional, performance, and security issues.

  • Manages own tasks based on the area of responsibilities and supervises others as needed.

  • Develops and executes testing and commissioning procedures, including subsystem and system-level testing.

  • Creates detailed system and subsystem-level configuration specifications and procedures.

  • Participates in technical demonstrations and contributes to technical proposal writing.

  • Supports risk management activities to mitigate potential impacts on system performance and security.

  • Willing to travel to customer sites for startups

Qualifications

Requires ten (10)+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of EPMS/BMS controls systems with a high school diploma or GED

  • Requires substantial travel to project sites as required by customer and program manager to meet project deliverable's

  • Proficient with Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tools

Desired Qualifications: Allen Bradley PLC, Ignition

Abilities:

  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.

  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.

  • Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.

  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
