Description
Our client, a leader in commercial real estate, is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Technician to support building operations, equipment installations, and general maintenance in a data center setting in New Albany, OH. This is a full-time, onsite position operating Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday from 6:30am-7:00pm with the possibility for overtime. This position starts as a 6-week contract opportunity and pays $23-25.50 per hour based on experience. In this position you will be working as part of a 2-3 person team in a hands-on construction environment. Outdoor work is common, and proper PPE is required at all times. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of general maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with basic electrical systems. Experience in lockout/tagout procedures and safety certifications are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily building start-up tasks
- Install new equipment and perform initial system hook-ups
- Complete repetitive maintenance tasks across multiple buildings or job sites
- Work outdoors and indoors with proper PPE and safety compliance
- Troubleshoot and resolve general mechanical or electrical issues
- Follow basic safety protocols and assist with lockout/tagout procedures
- 3-5 years of general maintenance experience
- Comfortable working in a construction environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on mechanical ability
- Capable of working independently and as part of a small team
- Willingness to work outdoors and in variable conditions
- Experience with lockout/tagout procedures
- Basic electrical experience
- NFP 70E safety certification (preferred)
- CPR certification
- Electrical certification (preferred)
