Otolaryngologist Job Details

• Position Type: Locum tenens (Travel/Contract) Otolaryngologist, option to convert to permanent
• Location: Des Moines, IA (Inpatient) & Clive, IA (Clinic) - Central Iowa healthcare jobs
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Weekly Hours: 36 patient contact hours (1.0 FTE), approx. 40 hours/week
• On Call: Included in call schedule; weekend coverage as needed
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with option to extend or convert to permanent
• Teaching Opportunity: Yes - clinical teaching and outreach

Otolaryngologist Qualifications

• Board Certified in Otolaryngology (ENT physician jobs)
• Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Otolaryngologist
• Available for full-time coverage
• Clean malpractice and background history
• Commitment to high-quality patient care, teamwork, and clinical excellence

ENT Physician Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive ENT services in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform ENT procedures and surgeries in coordination with the operating room
• Manage daily clinic volume of 30+ patients with 15-minute appointments
• Collaborate with a 1:1 physician-nurse ratio and ancillary clinical support staff
• Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation and healthcare records
• Participate in call schedule and provide weekend coverage as required
• Engage in teaching opportunities and outreach to Central Iowa communities
