Maximum Pay (per hour): 72.00

Hours: 40 hours/week

Duration: 3 months with possible extension/conversion (on W2 with benefits)

Job Description:

Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Construction Project Manager You will play a crucial role in our Store Development organization, responsible for creating exciting retail environments through new construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects.

Overview of the Role:

In this role, you'll manage various construction-related activities for our retail stores under the guidance of the Director of Retail Construction. This includes overseeing new builds, renovations, and other project initiatives across our brand portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of retail store construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and capital improvements, by leading an external team.
  • Prepare detailed cost summaries, schedules, and construction estimates for the Director of Retail Construction.
  • Negotiate with landlords, manage work letters, and ensure compliance with design timelines and lease agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of external partners, including construction project managers, vendors, architects, engineers, and general contractors.
  • Collaborate with real estate and design teams to review design criteria and project feasibility.
  • Conduct on-site visits to monitor construction progress and adherence to project specifications.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Real Estate, Brand Management, Store Operations, and Visual Merchandising.
  • Review value engineering proposals and prepare bid solicitations for construction projects.
  • Select and manage general contractors, conducting regular meetings and performance assessments.
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing Manager on project contracts and procurement of owner-provided items.
  • Assist with warranty issues and major capital projects as needed.
  • Operate a computer, communicate effectively, and occasionally lift materials up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in reviewing and approving technical submittals.
  • Ability to monitor and address environmental testing and abatement issues.
  • Experience in establishing construction budgets and schedules.
  • Familiarity with Prolog or Tango systems for asset management.
