Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 in the below posting location. In this role, you will gain valuable knowledge into the operation of an engineering and architectural firm while performing engineering tasks as well as other office support.

Posting Location for this role: Peoria, IL
*Housing, relocation, and transportation assistance not available for this position.

Job Activities:
  • Assisting engineers with drafting using AutoCAD
  • Basic engineering design work that may include working with a project engineer on calculations, preparation of plans, and preparation of reports
  • Field inspection that may include gathering of field data, assisting a construction engineer, construction related office support
  • Office operational support
Specific Requirements include:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, preferred
  • Organized and professional
  • Ability to communicate professionally with clients and co-workers

Salary Range: $20 - $21 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
