The Life Sharing Specialist responsibilities include planning, organizing, and directing provisions of cross-disciplinary services to clients in a community-based program for intellectually disabled individuals. Responsibilities include planning or participating in planning, developing, and evaluating therapeutic care and treatment programs. Will also act as team facilitator in Interdisciplinary Team meetings to develop Individual Support Plans (ISP's) on each assigned client. Responsible for being on call as scheduled.

Requirements

The Life Sharing Specialist must have one of the following groups of qualifications:
  • A master's degree or above from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of work experience working directly with persons with an intellectual disability or autism.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of work experience working directly with persons with an intellectual disability or autism.
  • An associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of work experience working directly with persons with an intellectual disability or autism.
  • A high school diploma or general education development certificate and six (6) years of work experience working directly with persons with an intellectual disability or autism.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Must understand HCSIS systems.
  • Knowledge of ODP programs is beneficial.
