Join our MedStar Health Urgent Care team as a Radiology Technologist You will play a vital role in providing exceptional care while performing both clinical and administrative duties in accordance with our established policies and procedures. Under the supervision of a physician, you will conduct patient intake, perform laboratory testing, and ensure patient follow-up. You will also administer medications as prescribed and demonstrate your competencies to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or their designee. Our Clinical Care Specialists perform and transmit X-ray diagnostic images, and you'll also be responsible for documenting appropriately in medical records to foster optimal patient flow.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain adherence to MedStar Health's Code of Conduct and compliance with all governmental and accreditation guidelines. Participate in training on safety, infection control, CPR, and EMR management. Ensure cleanliness and readiness of equipment and patient rooms.
- Utilize new technologies and electronic health records effectively. Manage patient flow with active communication to enhance their experience and comfort during visits.
- Carry out venipuncture and selected laboratory tests, perform X-rays following provider orders, and maintain X-ray equipment up to safety standards. Ensure professional communication with patients and colleagues.
- Deliver care aligned with MedStar's mission and values, fostering trust and loyalty among patients by exceeding their expectations.
- Assist team members during high-demand periods, support medical providers during examinations, and prepare medications for administration under appropriate supervision.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree.
- Completion of an accredited R.T. program.
- Externship experience in a healthcare setting.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in a medical office.
- ARRT Certification.
- Valid Maryland, Virginia, or DC State License.
- BLS Certification.
Compensation for this position ranges from USD $29.73 to USD $53.49 per hour.
