Maintenance Technician I

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Rotating Saturdays as needed: 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Hours may change based on the needs of the business
Parkway Bank is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician at our Harwood Heights location. As a member of our Maintenance Team, the work involves the performance of routine maintenance and repair operations for assigned branch locations and other real estate owned by the bank.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED or currently pursuing
- Current valid Illinois driver's license and a good driving record
- Effective customer service skills
- Effective oral communication skills
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations
- Ability to read, write and count to accurately complete all documents
- Ability to work varied hours/days/overtime as business needs dictate
- Must be able to walk, sit, stoop, and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift, reach, pull, push and/or move approximately 75 pounds, including boxes and furniture
- Must be capable of climbing and working from ladders
- Prefer but not mandatory, Electrical ability to troubleshoot power outages, replace circuit breakers, switches, outlets, contactors; repair or replace exterior light timers, fan motors, light fixtures (interior and exterior), emergency lighting etc. is preferred
- Plumbing ability to rod sinks, toilets, replace hot water tanks, repair or replace electric sump pumps, repair or replace toilets, faucets water filters, maintain exterior lawn sprinklers, etc. is preferred
- Carpentry ability to repair or replace locks, door closers, roof leaks etc. is preferred
- Ability to use hand and power tools such as electric drills, sazsall, sink rodder, hammer drill, floor scraper, chainsaw, etc.
- Performs a variety of duties to keep branch exteriors in good condition. Sweeps sidewalks and parking lots daily to remove garbage and debris. Removes snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots using appropriate snow removal equipment including ability to hand shovel snow as needed. Waters grass and flowers as needed.
- Ability to follow directions and complete routine tasks correctly and within established deadlines
- Effective judgment necessary to solve problems, make decisions and react to unusual situations
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Pay range: $17.00 - $23.00/hour
