***ENLISTMENT IN THE U.S. ARMY OR ARMY RESERVE REQUIRED***
As a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the operational readiness of the Army's wheeled and select armored vehicles essential for various missions. This position offers a unique chance to gain technical skills in maintenance and repair, with opportunities ranging from automotive servicing to machinery maintenance. You'll focus on learning key skills in Maintenance & Repairs, Electronic Troubleshooting, and Electrical Systems, with the possibility of earning 124 nationally recognized certifications
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain, inspect, repair, and recover the Army's vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct thorough servicing and testing of wheeled vehicles, material handling systems, and automotive electrical systems.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Complete 10 weeks of Basic Training.
- Attend 14 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Aged between 17 to 34 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Compliance with tattoo guidelines required.
- No major legal issues.
- Good medical standing.
