We are looking for a proactive and hands-on modeler who excels in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. In this role, you will not only manage a team of two but also contribute significantly to the AI learning and development efforts across CDA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the complete development process of predictive, prescriptive, and perceptive models to enhance Retail strategy and operations.
  • Mentor and manage a team of data scientists, promoting individual and team growth as well as technical excellence.
  • Engage with product, engineering, business stakeholders, and external partners to convert complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Play a vital role in the CDA AI Learning & Development team, influencing and delivering AI training throughout the organization.
  • Identify automation opportunities with AI-assisted tools, such as Snowflake Cortex, GitHub Copilot, and M365 Copilot.
  • Advocate for MLOps practices ensuring scalable, safe, and efficient model deployment.
  • Stay abreast of the latest AI/ML trends and tools, continually assessing their impact on our business outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with at least 6 years of experience in a related field.
  • Degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Economics, or relevant field is required.
  • Must reside within commuting distance of our offices in Atlanta, GA or Irvine, CA, and adhere to a hybrid work model with 2+ days in the office weekly.
  • A minimum of 6 years of data science experience with a solid foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI.
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing data science teams and managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • A visionary leader capable of shaping the future of our Decision Science practice.
  • Strong expertise in Python and relevant libraries, including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot for improved coding and productivity.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical insights in a way that demonstrates business value.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, Dataiku, and modern AI tools for code generation, feature engineering, and model optimization.
  • Experience with Jupyter Notebooks for exploratory analysis and reproducible workflows.
  • Familiarity with Vertex AI Notebooks for scalable model development and integration with Google Cloud services.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, AWS, and data governance principles.
  • Knowledge of ETL pipelines utilizing APIs, FTP transfers, and curated views.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in retail analytics or consumer behavior modeling.
  • Exposure to AI-enhanced productivity tools and agentic workflows.
  • Engagement in AI communities of practice or organizational AI strategy initiatives.
  • Experience with LangChain and LangGraph for developing AI agents and chatbots.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau Pulse, and Lucidchart for effective visualization, reporting, and process mapping.

Compensation includes a base salary range of $119,600.00 - $199,400.00, which may vary based on the position's location and the candidate's skills and experience.

The Company provides eligible employees flexible vacation policies, seven paid holidays per year, and up to 160 hours of paid wellness time annually for personal or family wellness.
