Strategic Sourcing Manager

Summary:

Meta is seeking an experienced dynamic professional to join our Global Strategic Sourcing team as a Sourcing Manager, supporting the Legal category. As part of the Strategic Sourcing organization within Finance, this team is responsible for end-to-end sourcing, focused on Category Management, Supplier Management, and Stakeholder Engagement.This role offers a rare opportunity to influence how our company manages critical partnerships and drives value in a space that is rapidly evolving. As a key partner to Legal and Legal Operations, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across financial planning, commercial legal, contracts, and compliance - bringing innovation, discipline, and creativity to sourcing. You'll shape strategies that optimize budgets, mitigate risk, and unlock new opportunities for efficiency and growth. Required Skills:

Strategic Sourcing Manager - Legal Responsibilities:

1. Develop multi-year category plans aligned with Business and Global Strategic Sourcing priorities

2. Use industry trends, relevant data analysis, internal spend data and requirements to create strategies that will proactively identify optimization opportunities to help our Business meet their goals

3. Lead the development and execution of sourcing plans and supplier spend management strategies, including handling of complex sourcing projects and contract negotiations that optimize value to the company

4. Develop effective collaborative relationships with key business partners to understand their needs and become a trusted advisor to strategically manage their spend and supplier relationships

5. Drive alignment and results by working across business groups and influencing decisions at every level

6. Leverage advanced analytics and procurement technology to drive data-informed sourcing strategies and identify optimization opportunities

7. Manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, including influencing their processes, resource decisions, performance management and policies to create mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships

8. Develop collaborative partnerships across Finance, Operations, HR, Privacy and Legal teams and act as the collaborator to bring teams together and influence Meta wide solutions

9. Ensure adherence to procurement policies and manage the remediation and resolution of sourcing issues. Provide regular communication and training on procurement processes and systems to stakeholders and suppliers

10. Serve as a trusted advisor by monitoring industry trends and translating them into actionable sourcing strategies

11. Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, procurement, finance, management, Legal Studies or related field

12. 5+ Years of experience in Sourcing & Procurement for Legal, and Legal Operations or related discipline

13. Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiating, and delivering complex contracts, with negotiation skills in both financial and business matters

14. Experience using data analysis, industry trends, relevant data, and internal spend data to create strategies and identify optimization opportunities

15. Proven track record of implementing category, strategic sourcing and process improvement initiatives

16. History of building and leveraging relationships with business leaders and supplier executives to achieve business goals

17. Previous experience driving change, managing conflict, unifying different perspectives, decision-making, securing support, and building consensus to achieve goals

18. Expertise in exceeding the demands of various internal stakeholders across multiple business units and regions

19. Experience working in a self-directed environment, maintaining a focus on teamwork and interpersonal communication, in ambiguous situations

20. Skilled in implementing and driving effective supplier management

21. Experience using varying types of communication to effectively convey complex ideas and strategies to C-level executives

22. Background in negotiating, breaking down cost models, and understanding the drivers of ROI

23. Certifications or advanced degrees in procurement, supply chain management, Law or a related field

24. Understanding of various international markets and experience managing and navigating the complexities of global sourcing strategies

25. Expertise collaborating with and negotiating complex agreements with law firms and outside counsel

26. Familiarity with relevant software or technology used in sourcing and procurement

27. Experience working with technology and AI in Sourcing, including applying these tools to improve processes and outcomes

Public Compensation:

$111,000/year to $162,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
