We have an immediate opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's team in Smyrna, GA. With over 80 years in business, this electrical contracting firm is a trusted name in commercial and industrial projects, having partnered with top-tier clients like Coca-Cola, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft. This role will support senior engineers and project managers in designing power and lighting systems using Revit and assist in performing power studies.

What You'll Do
  • Model electrical systems and perform short circuit and coordination studies using SKM Power Tools
  • Design and model electrical content in 3D Revit, planning out systems based on the National Electrical Code
  • Write basic macros in Excel and JavaScript to streamline repetitive tasks
  • Support field teams and project managers with drawing preparation, large-format printing, and design documentation
  • Prepare technical reports for client distribution
  • Contribute to a high-performing, quality-driven design team
What You Bring
Required:
  • BSEE or BSEET degree
  • 3+ years of electrical design experience for commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities (will consider sharp candidates with 2+)
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, including electrical modeling; ability to build "Revit families" is a big plus
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
Preferred:
  • Experience using SKM Power Tools
  • Familiarity with short circuit coordination studies
