Tool & Die Maintenance Technician 2nd shift

What You Will Do:
As a Tool Room Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring die readiness for the die cast operation. Your responsibilities will include repairing die cast dies, trim dies, and fixtures while maintaining high safety and quality standards. You will work closely with production teams to troubleshoot issues, perform precision machining tasks, and manage tooling inventory.
- Troubleshoot and repair die cast and trim dies on the production floor.
- Operate drills, grinders, mills, lathes, forklifts, and overhead cranes to transport and maintain dies.
- Perform welding tasks as needed.
- Assemble, disassemble, clean, and inspect tooling components to ensure they meet specifications.
- Prepare dies for scheduled production runs.
- Maintain core and punch inventory.
- Hand-finish components to precise specifications.
- Accurately complete required documentation for end-of-run reporting.
- Ensure a clean and organized work area while following safety guidelines.
- Adapt to changing job duties, including cross-training in different areas.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to resolve issues effectively.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Be available for overtime and emergency support as needed.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Forklift, crane, and hoist experience (required).
- Lockout/tagout knowledge (required).
- Experience with mills and lathes (preferred).
- Ability to read blueprints (preferred).
- Journeyman Card (preferred).
