As a Senior Software Engineer, your role will involve:

  • Leading the development, testing, and deployment of product features in collaboration with designers, product managers, and your fellow engineers.
  • Utilizing critical thinking and industry best practices to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Creating high-quality applications that are secure, maintainable, and built with observability and measurable results in mind.
  • Taking ownership of all technical aspects of the product lifecycle, including code, infrastructure, data, security, and CI/CD processes.
  • Establishing software standards and continuously enhancing your skills while mentoring fellow engineers on best practices.
  • Contributing to the team’s vision and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Building partnerships and collaborating on technical initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of software development experience.
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing tasks effectively.
  • Advanced knowledge of application design patterns, event-driven architecture, and testing strategies.
  • Experience with major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
  • Expertise in Java and JEE development, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, and Spring Security.
  • Familiarity with build management tools such as Gradle or Maven.
  • Understanding of source control systems like GIT/Gitlab.
  • Experience in database design and implementation using SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, CouchDB).
  • Proficiency with large-scale messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
  • Experience leading requirements refinement, planning, estimation, development, and deployment.
  • Background in cross-functional teamwork between multiple product teams.
  • Expertise in architecting enterprise-grade applications and performance tuning for large-scale systems.
  • Experience in eCommerce applications within the retail domain, particularly in dealing with Marketplace Sellers.
