The Automotive Quality Engineer II is responsible for assistance in the development, implementation and facilitation of global quality engineering activities related to new and active product quality systems from conception to customer satisfaction. Emphasis upon coordination of worldwide RF quality systems and overall customer corrective action and prevention systems to ensure revenue generation. This position is goal and project orientated and this individual must be self-motivated and a team player.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Liaise directly with all customers and suppliers, inclusive of critical and strategic, to resolve product non conformance and facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate the product approval process for all radio frequency applications within the RF worldwide manufacturing community.
  • Facilitate the new product development process for all new designs from concept through active use at the end-customer.
  • Facilitate Critical Customer program developments for new designs from concept through active customer usage
  • Facilitate cross-functional groups in DFMEA, PFMEA and Control Plan development process and global training of these tools.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement of key revenue generating products and processes for the RF business
  • Facilitate the corrective action, prevention, and continuous improvement process systems for all critical customers.
  • Facilitate maintenance of ISO 9001 quality management system through internal auditing and documentation maintenance
  • Responsible for coordinating validation of automotive products to key automotive industry requirements (i.e., USCAR)
  • Assist with the management, prioritization and flow of Automotive NPI through validation testing to Automotive Industry Requirements (i.e., USCAR)
  • Responsible for coordinating containment actions related to automotive products within Amphenol RF facilities and customer sites
  • Facilitate automotive supplier performance monitoring and improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain customer satisfaction measures and trends for key customers.
  • Have the ability to travel when necessary. Occasional international travel may be required for key customer accounts.
  • Provide for and assist with capital equipment purchase recommendations and executions
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline recommended plus three (3) to seven (7) years related experience. Other requirements as necessary.
  • Have and maintain a working understanding of statistical processes, controls, and failure analysis techniques.
  • Have and maintain a working understanding of GD&T.
  • Have familiarity and understanding of PPAP control processes and reporting requirements
