Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special needs? Join Birch Agency, a leading name in educational services, as we expand our team We are currently seeking a dedicated part-time Occupational Therapist to work with students at our El Cerrito and Richmond sites.

Position Details:

  • Part-time role: 1 day per week

  • Work with students aged 7th-12th grade

  • Compensation starts at $55/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in achieving their IEP and academic goals

  • Collaborate closely with families and teachers to foster student success

  • Screen new students to assess eligibility for services

  • Provide targeted Occupational Therapy for students with diverse disabilities

  • Participate in IEP meetings

  • Engage with parents to develop effective home programs as needed

  • Complete essential paperwork in accordance with state regulations

  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation

  • Address therapy for learning and behavioral issues, including motor skills, cognitive processing, and visual or perceptual problems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy

  • Current state licensure/certification

  • NBCOT Certification is preferred
