Job Overview

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking an Internal Medicine physician to lead our Transitional Year Residency Program as the Residency Program Director. Will be responsible for administration and operations; teaching and scholarly activity; resident recruitment and selection, evaluation, promotion, and disciplinary action; supervision of residents and resident education in the context of patient care oDocumented ongoing scholarly activity within the past five (5) academic years such as peer reviews, research publications, review articles, peer-reviewed journals, textbook chapters, case reports or clinical series presentations at scientific society meetings, and participation in committees and educational organizations

Position Highlights
  • About Position:
  • 13 residents per year
  • Up to 52-hours per month devoted to administrative duties for GME
  • Residency Rotations on a 13-block schedule
  • Close partnership with Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residency Programs
  • Clinical duties are exclusively inpatient Internal Medicine
  • Qualified Candidates:
  • o Must have at least 3 years of documented educational and / or administrative experience
  • Be willing to combine administrative and diagnostic (teaching) responsibilities
  • Have strong administrative and team building skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
