Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer with a strong background in Python to join our dynamic team at Enbridge in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have 7 10 years of experience in software development, demonstrating a proven ability to design, develop, and implement robust software solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Python programming and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high quality software applications using Python.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Identify and troubleshoot software defects and performance issues.
Implement best practices in software development, including version control, testing, and documentation.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance software development processes.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to their professional growth.
Mandatory Skills:
Expertise in Python programming language.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
Experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
Proficiency in database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of front end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Understanding of software security best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
7 10 years of professional experience in software development.
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
