Job Overview
First Service Air Conditioning Contractors Inc is hiring a detail-driven Estimator to join our Construction Division. This full-time, onsite role is crucial to our project planning success-analyzing specifications, interpreting blueprints, and delivering accurate cost projections for residential, commercial, industrial, and federal HVAC/Plumbing projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and technical documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Work with design, project management, and operations teams to align on scope and budgeting.
- Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes to build complete bid packages.
- Track costs, compile estimate reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing and HVAC system trends.
- Support change order preparation and cost adjustments as needed during project execution.
- Participate in job walks or site visits to better inform project scope and costing.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or HVAC estimating.
- High school diploma or GED required; trade or technical coursework is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, materials, and labor factors.
- Proficient in reading construction blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to use estimating software and Microsoft Excel effectively such as Trimble Autobid is a plus etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
