Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Department Manager to lead its electrical engineering team in Cincinnati. This leadership role is essential to the successful delivery of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects across industrial and manufacturing sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, team leadership, and EPC project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and designers within EPC project frameworks.
  • Oversee electrical design execution for industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with EPC standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, civil, process) for integrated project delivery.
  • Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations in accordance with NEC, NFPA, and other relevant codes.
  • Develop electrical scopes, budgets, and schedules for EPC proposals and execution plans.
  • Support business development through technical presentations and proposal strategy.
  • Serve as the primary electrical technical lead, maintaining client alignment throughout the EPC lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (strongly preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role within an EPC firm or project environment.
  • Proven success managing electrical design in EPC projects, including design-build and fast-track models.
  • Expertise in power distribution, lighting, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Electrical design for industrial facilities such as food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or chemical plants.
  • Familiarity with core markets including consumer packaged goods (CPG), life sciences, and advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience with project management tools and EPC workflows.
