Join our team as a Wholesale Product Specialist, where you will work closely with commercial paint customers to understand their needs and recommend the right Sherwin-Williams products. Your expertise will ensure maximum client satisfaction as you address customer concerns promptly and efficiently. You will also stay informed about product features, maintaining the high quality and visual standards that our customers expect.

This is a full-time position located at Store #3062, 920 S. Jefferson Street, Chicago, IL 60607. Pay starts at $19.25 per hour.

As a Wholesale Product Specialist, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by understanding clients' needs
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone with appropriate product recommendations
  • Build trustful relationships with wholesale customers
  • Accurately process sales transactions in accordance with company policies
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals
  • Maintain organized work order files and formulas
  • Prepare and tint products to meet customer specifications
  • Stock shelves and create visually appealing displays
  • Perform routine cleaning of store equipment
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks, as well as making deliveries
  • Keep assigned areas well-stocked and presentable
  • Stay knowledgeable about available products and options
  • Comply with inventory management procedures
  • Suggest strategies to improve sales

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Legally authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future
  • A valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally
  • Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends
  • If currently a Sherwin-Williams employee, a recent performance rating of at least meets expectations (3)
  • Completion of all required HR Cloud eLearning courses for your current position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or GED
  • One (1) year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
  • Prior experience selling paint and related products
  • Experience with tinting and mixing equipment
  • Multilingual abilities, especially in Spanish, are a plus
