Your Role on the Team

As a Maintenance Technician at Invitation Homes, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our single-family rental homes while delivering exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include:

• Efficiently completing maintenance service requests across various trades.

• Providing outstanding customer service to enhance residents’ living experiences.

• Conducting regular ProCare visits to perform proactive maintenance and repairs in residents’ homes.

• Educating residents on all aspects of maintenance.

• Performing general property condition assessments and promptly notifying the property management team about urgent issues.

• Utilizing Technician-specific reports to identify areas for improvement.

• Carrying out repairs in vacant properties during the marketing or turn process.

• Properly using and maintaining company-provided tools, materials, and vehicles.

• Assisting with additional duties as assigned.

Your Experience Includes

• A high school diploma or equivalent.

• OSHA 10 certification required (new hires can complete within 90 days).

• Demonstrated experience in residential repairs, building maintenance, or related fields.

• Knowledge of residential construction and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform general repairs in various areas such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, HVAC (minor), and appliances. Training will be provided for some tasks.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with multilingual capabilities considered a plus.

• Comfort with using mobile devices (e.g., iPad and/or iPhone) and various applications.

• A valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and any required licenses or certifications per state law.

• The following certifications are preferred: EPA Certification (Type I and II), HVAC Certification, and CPO certification (pool).

• Availability to work regularly, including weekends and holidays as necessary.

• Ability to provide basic hand and power tools.

• Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent climbing, reaching, kneeling, lifting over 50 pounds, and operating standard maintenance equipment.

• Possible involvement in occupancy checks and eviction lockouts/setouts in collaboration with local law enforcement.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $19.11 - $33.13, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
