Manager of Privacy and Data Policy

Meta is seeking an experienced Manager of Privacy and Data Policy to join our team and play a pivotal role in integrating privacy into product development. This position will focus on providing policy insights for privacy-related product decisions for Facebook Threads and Instagram while leading our strategy on key privacy topics such as Data Access, Transfer, and Portability. Additionally, you will contribute your policy perspective to shape our Privacy Marketing initiatives.
This role requires a highly collaborative approach, working alongside product managers, engineers, public policy teams, communications specialists, and external stakeholders. You will serve as a subject matter expert on privacy and data protection for Meta's global policy team, evaluate and respond to policy developments, and engage with external experts in the field.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in cross-functional working groups to meet privacy requirements from various perspectives including policy, legal, engineering, user interface, and marketing.
- Engage with external stakeholders to foster dialogue around critical privacy issues.
- Represent Meta in discussions on privacy topics at meetings and conferences.
- Develop consensus around innovative privacy solutions in new technologies and contexts.
- Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on privacy matters.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 9+ years of experience in privacy, public policy, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong knowledge of Meta's products, features, and policies.
- Deep understanding of privacy policy and legislative frameworks.
