Compensation: $26.67 - $29.00 hourly pay

Responsibilities:

  • Use hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices effectively.
  • Ensure the safe operation of machinery, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Follow blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and manufacturer's instructions for maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues through observation and precision testing instruments.
  • Conduct boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment testing, recording results and making necessary adjustments.
  • Perform safety checks on boilers and address maintenance needs promptly.
  • Monitor and analyze utility meter readings and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Carry out safety checks to maintain equipment integrity and resolve any concerns.
  • Inspect and maintain motors, belts, and fluid levels, ensuring adherence to procedures.
  • Clean and lubricate mechanical components as per technical manuals.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System to track work.
  • Complete other tasks as directed by leadership.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Preferred: Two-year technical degree in a related field.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
  • Familiarity with maintenance equipment is essential.
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in repairing industrial processing equipment is necessary; military experience is considered.
  • Passing UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment test is required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics is necessary.
  • Must understand maintenance literature in English.
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills are needed.
  • Experience with Lockout/Tagout procedures is required.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs is essential.
