Our client, a leading technology innovator in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the development of cutting-edge modem firmware and next-generation features. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, collaborative spirit, and a passion for technological advancement, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: Boise, ID

Pay Range: $30

What's the Job?

  • Design and develop 5G and next-generation firmware features for embedded systems.
  • Build scalable embedded firmware, stack, and NCOS drivers to support multi-modem hardware integration.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to perform modem bring-up and ensure optimal modem functionality.
  • Develop and improve testing tools to support firmware debugging and stability.
  • Assist during critical issues related to modem software integrations to help stabilize and enhance system performance.
What's Needed?
  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent qualifications.
  • Over 2 years of experience in embedded Linux firmware development, including device drivers and features.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming with knowledge of OS concepts, RTOS, and multiprocessor communication.
  • Strong firmware, system debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of router infrastructure and SDWAN use cases is a bonus.
