KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Engage in emergency response and cleanup activities involving chemical and water spills, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and decontamination of toxic materials.
  • Perform physical tasks such as sweeping, digging, shoveling, lifting, and operating cleanup equipment.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous substances while following established policies.
  • Participate in mandatory safety training sessions and comply with the Random Drug Testing Program.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workspaces and perform other duties as needed.
  • Assist with facility maintenance, including unloading trucks and other support tasks.
  • Be available for 24/7 emergency response calls while on standby.
  • Prepare to work extended hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Adapt to changing responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience in the environmental services industry is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with hazardous waste management is an advantage.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record meeting company criteria are required.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is mandatory.
  • Confined Space Entry certification is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented and meticulous in all tasks.
  • Safety-focused mindset.
  • Patient and adaptable to fast-paced changes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent pushing and pulling in daily tasks.
  • Regular twisting and turning required.
  • Ability to lift items overhead consistently.
  • Stand for 6-8 hours daily.
  • Prolonged periods of crouching and stooping.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Wear personal protective equipment, such as Tyvek suits and respirators, as necessary.
  • Perform physically demanding activities outdoors in various weather conditions.
