Position Overview

As a Senior Field Performance Technician, you will play a crucial role in managing, scheduling, and completing all service and warranty-related work. This position requires a strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the Performance O&M team, as you will frequently interact with customers, the Branch Manager, the Senior Electrical Foreman, the Construction Supervisor, and the centralized scheduling Field Service Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage the warranty and service schedule effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and Branch Manager to allocate labor resources for service and warranty projects as necessary.
  • Assist in training and development for Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians.
  • Lead regular training meetings with the local field service team to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new members of the field performance team.
  • Exceed established goals for performance key performance indicators such as turnaround time, customer experience rating, and average dispatches completed.
  • Assist with inspections and site audits when assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of field construction or solar experience required.
  • Pv design or PV electrical experience is preferred.
  • High School diploma is required.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must maintain a clean driving record and pass a driving background check. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Valid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification or license is preferred; varies by state.

  • In-depth knowledge of NEC and applicable codes and standards.

  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Understanding of electrical/PV installation principles with the ability to interpret single line drawings and PV systems.

  • Able to establish rapport and build relationships with customers and coworkers while maintaining professionalism.
  • Results-driven mindset, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving metrics.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to transport materials and equipment (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance).
  • Ability to work on rooftops with various angulations and surfaces, requiring frequent bending, climbing, and maintaining balance.
  • Capacity to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.
  • Willingness to use safety equipment such as ladders and fall protection harnesses.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and work in confined spaces as required.
  • Capacity to follow verbal commands and work safely with chemicals.
