Surgical Technologist - Rotating Shifts

Location

Allegheny, PA

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

All shifts will be rotating (days, evenings, nights). Call and weekends are required, which can include weekdays and/or weekends. Weekend shifts may be scheduled on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Call response time is 30 minutes. In-house call rooms are available for use if needed.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in scrubbing all cases, including but not limited to General, Orthopedic, Neurological, Vascular, Trauma, Robotics, and Transplant procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Scrub in on a variety of surgical cases as assigned.
  • Ensure the operating room is prepared and instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
  • Assist with positioning and draping of the patient.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other surgical staff to ensure a smooth surgical process.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Must be certified with NBSTSA or NCCT.
  • A minimum of 2 years in an operating room setting preferred, with strong preference for 3 years.
  • At least 1 year of Level 1 Trauma experience within the last 3 years.
  • Minimum of 1 year of travel experience within the last 3 years.
  • Ability to scrub all types of cases including General, Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Trauma, Robotics, and Transplant.
