Your success will depend on your strong financial analysis and scenario projection skills, coupled with your ability to craft compelling narratives for senior leadership. Key projects will involve margin and scenario analysis, monitoring impacts, and advancing strategic initiatives at Capital One.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Formulate and execute business strategies that enhance growth, profitability, and competitiveness amidst evolving consumer and regulatory landscapes.
Business Ownership: Adopt an ownership mindset, potentially handling P&L for a business segment, and engage in strategic planning with a 1-6 month outlook.
Leadership Development: Manage and nurture a team of analysts, mentoring associates to foster talent retention and growth within Capital One.
Product Strategy: Innovate and implement new product and pricing strategies across various lending products; lead analytical modeling at the product level.
Marketing Initiatives: Drive direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for selected products, and shape strategies for products across diverse channels by developing targeted insights to enhance customer experiences.
Credit Risk Management: Enhance credit performance by linking future consumer credit trend drivers to historical data, creating risk models, and rigorously testing hypotheses.
Execution Coordination: Collaborate across business lines to manage delivery sequencing, build business requirements, and execute product strategies effectively.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other departments to foster improvements in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
Analytical Orientation: Demonstrated ability to make decisions and solve problems via analytics, supported by robust quantitative skills.
Leadership Integrity: Exhibit strong business judgment and decision-making capability, maintaining a responsible yet aggressive approach.
Team Building: Cultivate a high-performing team, driving innovation, accountability, and consistent results.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, complemented by strategic influencing and negotiation skills.
Results-Driven Mindset: Focused on achieving both short- and long-term objectives, thriving in uncertain and dynamic environments.
Adaptability: Proven success in fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings; prior consulting experience is an advantage.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, or Engineering).
Minimum of 2 years in quantitative analysis.
Minimum of 2 years in qualitative analysis.
At least 1 year of experience in people management.
At least 1 year of project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, or Engineering.
5+ years in quantitative analysis.
5+ years in qualitative analysis.
2+ years of experience in managing people.
2+ years in product development.
2+ years in financial modeling.
2+ years in economic forecasting.
2+ years in project management.
Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.
Salary Range (New York, NY): $210,500 - $240,300; Remote: $175,500 - $200,300; McLean, VA: $193,000 - $220,300. Actual salary will be based on location and experience, reflected in the offer letter.
This position is eligible for performance-based incentives such as cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
