- Maintains floors through damp and dust mopping, shampooing, scrubbing, stripping, refinishing and waxing
- Provides cleaning in all assigned areas
- Collects and disposes of garbage and waste materials throughout the plant
- Changes light bulbs in fixtures and machines
- Coordinates with maintenance purchasing and maintenance team leader on ordering necessary supplies
- Restocks supplies in restrooms and break areas
- Machine washes items such as smocks, mop heads and rags as needed
- Cleans production equipment and machinery
- Operates and maintains equipment used to perform essential job duties
- Assists with preventative maintenance cleaning and deep cleaning of equipment and machines under supervision
- Keeps utility and custodial rooms neat and orderly
- Sets up rooms and areas for meetings
- Reports needed repairs to the shift lead
- Assists with grounds maintenance including snow removal
- Supports and participates in the activities of the maintenance team including; operating decisions, goal setting, and identification and resolution of issues and problems
- Maintains and operates popcorn machine daily
- Adheres to company garbage and recycling policy
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Good verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to work independently without continued support from others
- Valid driver's license with a clean record.
- Bloodborne pathogen certified (provided by company)
- Ability to continuously stand, frequently walk, and occasionally sit
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. to hip height and to lift up to 50 lbs. to shoulder height as needed
- Ability to occasionally perform team lifts up to 50 lbs
- Ability to push or pull up to 500 lbs. as needed
- Ability to climb ladders frequently
- Ability to occasionally climb stairs or onto to equipment or vehicles
- Ability to frequently crawl, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, twist, or pinch/grasp
- Ability to frequently reach overhead, in front of body, or below waist
- Ability to have simultaneous use of hand, wrist, and fingers
- Ability to operate types of vehicles and machinery including a floor scrubber or trash compactor
- Requires 20/20 corrected vision
