Nurse Trainer

As a Nurse Trainer, this role is responsible for coaching, training and supporting nursing staff and clinical personnel to ensure high-quality, evidenced based patient care. With a passion for teaching, this position will have direct interaction and training of all new hires and current clinical personnel and foster ongoing professional development.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- New hire training for all nurses and medical assistants
- Collaborate with Clinical Team Coordinator on training schedules for new hires
- Conducts thorough skills assessments for medical assistants upon hire
- Identifies areas of deficiencies and provides individual training as needed
- Communicates with preceptors and supervisors on training progress and as needed
- Will conduct reassessments on any new hire skills based on need
- Communicate with Director of Nursing, Medical Assistant Supervisors and Site Operations Directors about all training needs and updates
- Review and update orientation materials for nurses and clinical personnel, making revisions or recreating content as training requirements evolve
- Creating instructional videos using different learning platforms
- Conduct on-site 30, 60, 90 day evaluations on the skills and competencies of all new hires
- Participate in the on-going development and training of annual skills competencies
- Travel to all HealthLinc clinics and Corporate office is required

Education/Training
- Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana
- Master's degree or relevant experience (not required but highly preferred)
- Indiana State Driver's License (travel is expected)
- 2-3 years of clinical experience in a related role highly preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Training program development
- Development and adaptation of education across different mediums, including but not limited to written, visual, video, web based, interactive and live instruction
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proven computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ClipChamp
- Experience developing tools to assess educational needs, including surveys, quizzes, and skills testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of and well-skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
- Operate a multi-line phone system and other office equipment including printers, fax machines, etc.
- Basic software skills (Microsoft Office, online sources, etc.)
