Are you a driven underwriter looking for a role that blends strategic thinking with field engagement? A well-established and rapidly growing insurance carrier is hiring multiple Executive Underwriters to help expand its footprint across key Mid-Atlantic markets.
Role Highlights:
- Evaluate and underwrite diverse middle-market risks across multiple lines (Property, Casualty, Auto, Workers' Comp, Umbrella)
- Lead new business efforts and foster long-term relationships with agency partners
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver tailored coverage solutions
- Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to strategic initiatives
- Represent the organization at industry events and client meetings
- 5-10+ years of commercial underwriting experience, preferably with exposure to multiple lines and industries such as manufacturing or retail
- Strong relationship-building and sales instincts; thrives in a field-facing role
- Comfortable working independently and managing a book with autonomy
- Familiarity with agency dynamics and territory development
- Willingness to travel within assigned region
