Meta is looking for a passionate and skilled Embedded Software/Firmware Engineering Manager to join our talented team. In this leadership role, you will empower and support a team of high-performing engineers dedicated to creating impactful products that reach billions of users worldwide. Successful Embedded Software Engineering Managers at Meta combine extensive technical expertise in embedded systems with progressive management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of embedded software engineers to deliver cutting-edge and high-quality solutions for various hardware platforms.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including hardware, firmware, and product, to drive innovative advancements in embedded systems.
- Develop and execute technical strategies that align with business goals while navigating the complexities of embedded environments.
- Create and nurture a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and growth in embedded software development practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in embedded software engineering or a PhD with 4 years of relevant experience, including hands-on leadership responsibilities.
- Proven track record of recruiting, building, structuring, and managing technical teams focused on embedded systems, along with performance management skills.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field with practical experience in embedded systems.
- Experience in supporting, mentoring, and developing embedded software engineers.
- At least 2 years of experience managing a team of engineers with diverse skill sets, particularly in embedded software development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in developing embedded machine learning/AI inference pipelines.
- Expertise in building low-power, resource-constrained products, such as wearables, mobile devices, and robotics.
Compensation:
$184,000/year to $257,000/year plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
