The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented software engineer to take the lead in promoting the adoption of standards, specifications, and conventions throughout the Solana network, particularly in the realms of payments, stablecoins, and tokenization. This role offers the chance to facilitate payment-related ecosystem teams in achieving their business objectives within the Solana ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive Feature Development: You will focus on high-priority payment-related products, including:

    • Establishing standards to enhance on-chain payments and traditional finance integrations.

    • Developing the Solana pay system.

    • Ensuring compliance with stablecoin and payment regulations.

    • Creating solutions for agentic and automated payments.

  2. Support Ecosystem Teams: Serve as the technical point of contact for processing payments within the Solana ecosystem.

  3. Interface with Developers: Collaborate closely with developers building on Solana to gather their feedback and enhance payment-related development.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in blockchain or platform-focused teams, specifically building scalable payment systems.

  • Proficient in Rust, Typescript, or other high-performance languages in a production setting.

  • Strong background in payment systems, whether on-chain or within traditional finance.

  • Experience in designing and operating APIs.

  • A deep passion for understanding the impact of blockchain technologies on global financial transactions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the Solana protocol.

  • Knowledge of how the existing corresponding banking system operates.

  • Understanding of global payment processing by major institutions and international banks.

  • Contributions to open-source projects are a plus.
