Responsibilities

  • Independently implements the nursing process utilizing clinical Standards and protocols.

  • Serve as a role model in the management, leadership, and delivery of quality wound care nursing.

  • Integrates the role of clinician, teacher, consultant, and coordinator within specialty.

  • Responsible for professional accountability and development.

  • Works in collaboration and is responsible for the delivery of patient care to wound patients.

  • Receives and coordinates service requests.

  • Good working knowledge of current wound care medications, techniques and equipment.

  • Knowledge of Joint Commission requirements for wound care providers.

  • Telemonitor Program WOCN: Able to successfully conduct virtual telemonitor visits with the outcome of providing appropriate consultative documentation for physicians and TMS.

Required Qualifications

  • Active FL RN license

  • Associate's Nursing

  • Wound-ostomy certification

  • BLS certification

  • Florida Driver's License (within 30 days of hire)

  • 2 years of nursing experience
